This is what we want to do. during the transaction, when the same item is scanned more than once, RMS will automatically increase the quantity of the item instead of creating a new line everytime the item is scanned.

I tested this on mine and it would enter the same item I would scan onto a new line item. I'm running version 2.0.0114.

I had the same problem when I bought our POS system. I solved it by customizing the scanner. I went back to the information I got with my scanner and I realized that you can pretty much tell your scanner what to do. My scanner had some bar codes I used to re-program my scanner. I ended up programing my scanner to do "ENTER" after each scan so the cursor in the screen will be in the next line. However, you need to remember that everytime you scan something it will do the "ENTER", even in the POS Administrator mode. I hope this can help you and you can keep your job.
