No, when you scan an item it is just going to be added to the next line. You can set the quantity BEFORE you can the item using the "*" key...
4 *The above sequence will set the quantity to 4...
You can also set the quantity after scanning by clicking the quantity field and enterint the correct quantity.
There may be an add-in that automatically combines transaction entries, but it doesn't happen out of the box.
