Please add "Supplier Reorder Number" as searchable field in the Item Find window.

Making the Item Find window customizable would be a better all around solution. i.e. Choosing which fields are returned, choosing which fields to add to the searchable fields and automatically bringing up the find window and searching for possible matches when the item is not found at the transaction screen.

We have an addon that allow you to define a customised find screen. In this customised find you can have department, category, supplier reorder number defined to show and where to show. Once yo have done this at POS you can find by this information and post directly from the find.

Afshin,

I dont think Microsoft should ignore fixing up / fine tuning Microsoft RMS simply because someone somewhere has had to create a "work-around" cause the base product doesnt do it adequately enough.

Addons should be used for "verticals" ie: special functionality required by specific retailer branch types, addons should not be a "work-around" because the base product is lacking in basic functionality.

I think that finding an item by 'Reorder Number" / "Part Number" is not a vertical, I think most retailers would find it useful.

We have used RR Addons and will continue to do so and appreciate you letting us know that there is a solution, but I dont want it to contribute towards the reason why Microsoft will ignore fixing these problems.

Butch,

Tentatively Jan 07. Maybe they learned from last year not to ship it at/just before Christmas time!

Not a public one nor is it very detailed for us yet.
