Hello Tony, I use etsms.com. They support the Ingenico I6550 with both pin pad for debit and digital signature capture as legal signature for credit card sales. Their credit card processing doesn't require PCCharge or any third party credit card processing software. Just RMS 2.0 right out of the box. I hope this helps you in the search for a credit card processor.

Hi Tony,

There are many many many different processors and each one and each person selling well offer different rates they may give you really low rates say %0.7 but will charge you for each transfer to your bank account or charge you for each inquiry etc. Shop Around is my best reccomendation for you. We reccomend Mercury for a few resons, 1) They will work direct with RMS or with TPI. 2) They will process gift cards for free over any amount of stores

3) they will also give you your first 100 gift cards for free. 4) They have a staff of there own that is familiar with RMS

Regarding the I6550 any processor should be able to accept it the only difference is that whatever processor you change to, The I 6550 will need to be rekeyed to there debit encryption, and everyone has there own. RMS will handle the I6550 out of the box once its setup with the correct forms and the correct OPOS for it then it will work direct with the built in RMS processing.

The I6550 actually works best when incorporated with TPI software(this is my own opinion though).

As a partner I have worked with many processors, and theres lots of sharks. I would reccomened finding 5 or so that you are comfortable with, looking for customer complaints on the web and then negotiating the rates and charges down to what you find acceptable. then choosing the one that you think works best for you. Also keep in mind the lowest rate may not provide the best service, how much money would you loose if there processing system went down for 4-6 hours on a busy day.
