Matrix Item

When My cashier sell Matrix item like 6pk Bud light or Single 12 oz can. The problem Some time cashier dont look at pos screen and He /She keep scanning the next item. in this situation If cashier dont select the item and Go to next one The pos will skip the next item and Cutomer will get charge on matrix item from top. Is there any way We can Put some ALERT sound on Matrix item ? Then cashier will aware it .

Something I just learned, in a matrix item..you can make the first item a

6-pk instead of 12oz can...matrix works in alphabetic order, so make the 6-pk start first, by placing a 1 - 6-pk and then 2 - 12oz this way, even if the cashier scans another item, and continues on...the customer will probably compain they are getting overcharged (usually I notice customers buying single cans more than 6-pks). Other than that idea, you can look for an add-on for RMS...I am pretty sure you can't do it out of the box for RMS. Best of luck.

Vice. I am doing same way you wrote on response. I seen If cashier selling a single can , 12pk beer and cigarettes Carton. If Cashier scan matrix item first and He/She dont select the item and next item is Marlboro Carton customer will not complaint. They like to pay 6pk rather than paying $35 Marlboro. But I am trying new thing On first matrix item on top Put 100 qty and Price 9999 then actual item 6p or single.

root, Thanks for asking it's been much better since I changed the settings in the network so that each computer does not shutdown at all...not allowing the network to hybernate I think it is. I still have it go off-line from the main database every once in a while, but it seems that all I have to do is click the icon to start RMS back up, and I'm good to go, and since this only happens once a week or two, I'm not really interested in messing it up anymore :) Leave it be is my feeling :) :) :) Thanks for everything root. Talk to you soon.
