Microsoft has released a new operating system called Windows Embedded Point of Service [1],[1.1] which can be thought of as a downsized Windows XP intended for vertical markets such as retail, hospitality and others with platform differences documented at MSDN [2] and the Embedded Team Blog [3] where those that developed the platform will be discussing and documenting goings on.
