Microsoft Point Of Sale printer

Hi, I'm interested in Microsoft Point Of Sale software. I have a POS printer I'd like to use, but I don't see it listed on the hardware compatibility list. Does this software interface to printers via a Windows Printer driver or through an OPOS service object? If I am able to get a driver or OPOS service object for this printer, can it be easily added? Thanks

MS POS can use either Windows or OPOS. I'm not going to recommend trying to use ANYTHING that's not on the HCL. If you've got a few hours to kill by beating your head against the wall, go ahead and give it a shot - who knows, you may get lucky and have the printer detect and work on the first pass!

Maybe you should post the manufacturer and model number of the device you are trying to use - someone else may have already tried it...
