Microsoft POS hates my printer

I just reformated my hard drive and reinstalled all my programs...

I installed the Epsong OPOS drivers for my thermal printer. Works fine when I do the test.

When I try to start Microsoft Point of Sale, it says "there is a problem with device: TM-T88IIP" (which is my printer). So what do I do now? HELP PLEASE!!

thanks

Have you tried installing the printer using the Epson Windows driver?

yeah but my only option for the Epson windows driver is the T-1000. my printer is the TM-T88II. I have tried it anyway and nothing prints using that driver as it is not the correct one.

last time this happened the tech from Microsoft had to get on my computer and get me the OPOS drivers, he installed it and it worked. I've tried and it will work using the test in the OPOS setup, but Microsoft POS just keeps giving me an error every time I open the program.

i thoroughly despise this program and wish i could give it back.

Try calling Epson's tech support, they may have better luck with helping you.

Sounds like you neglected to select CCO (Common Control Objects) during Epson driver installation. Run the Epson OPOS driver installer again and select CCO when prompted (not Epson). Do not uninstall the current driver. Install over the top of the existing installation and this will fix it.

Microsoft supports CCO, not brand specific objects.

Which version of Epson OPOS are you using? I have found that some versions are incompatible with MS POS. I couldn't get version 2.40 to work (with an Epson TMT88IIIU) but v2.30 worked great. Unfortunately I had to reformat the machine to go backwards with the Epson OPOS drivers.

Thanks Mark S.

That was the problem. Everything works fine now! It never dawned on me to reinstall the drivers, although when I was installing the first time I wasn't sure which option to choose. Thanks guys for your help!
