TM-T88IV not opening Cash Drawer with Vista

I have installed Microsoft RMS 2.0 on Windows Vista. I had issues installing my EPSON printer TM-T88IV. Now it work as "OPOS" device with "OPOSADK250E" driver. Now the receipt prints but the problem is that the cash drawer wont open when the receipt is printed. The cash drawer is APG VB 320-BL1616. I changed the cable. The health test of cash drawer is passed.

there are vista drivers for the TM-T88IV but according to Microsoft it hasnt been determined if it is compatible. but anyways the driver that I download called "OPOSADK250E"

Any ideas whats wrong with it?

thanks

If health test is ok then go to store manger/register list./cash drawer 1/ make sure you have checked Cash drawer is enabled for this register/ Opos device name and makesure You give same opos device name You have on OPOS. If it dont work You should also download OPOSADK250E service pack 10 I have same printer and It is working fine

AKbar,

Get epson opos service pack 10 like Gill said.

When it said it passed the "Check Health" for cash drawer, did the drawer open?

if it didn't, AGP drawers typically need to be set to "Open Phase" = HIGH under "Device Specific Settings" in cash drawer OPOS entry. This is not the default. If not OPOS will say "passed" but not open the drawer.

Thanks For reply. Recently I have faced the following problems using Microsoft RMS 2.0 with Windows Vista when Cash Drawer was cofigured.

1)when printer was connected with the cash drawer, after printing 5 or 6 receipts, POS stops responding. POS then doesn't close and everything is stuck.

2) Sometimes the cash drawer opens, but the receipt doesn't print. The computer searches for a while and then at the end it displays an error message.

3) Sometimes when administrator is opened, manager and POS doesn't open.

Any ideas what might be going wrong?

Thanks
