POS2, Epson TM-T88IIIP and Cash Drawer

Hello everyone, I could use some advice here: Please note this is not RMS

Parallel Epson printer using OPOS ADK 2.30E installed as CCO's, works great from POS application.

Added Epson comp. cash drawer in ADK as: Device Name - Standard Model - StandardP - Cash Drawer for Epson TM parallel Printer Port being used by PosPrinter/TM-T88IIIP Checkhealth on printer ok Checkhealth on drawer ok and it opens.

Start POS, shows cash drawer as new device, I add to till and then POS reports that my printer is now not available, check driver, cable etc.

Has anyone any ideas how I can get this to work please or what I am doing wrong. I would like to think that this is a common configuration. Thanks in anticipation. M

Try sharing the opos printer from the store ops mgr.

Is there a windows printer on the same port? (not physically but in printers and faxes.

If you disable the drawer in Store Ops mgr what happens?

Hello Maurice,

Unfortunately this is POS and not RMS, so I do not have a store ops manager.

At the time I didnt have any windows printers at all.

So as a test I have since added the Epson windows driver and the printing and cash drawer is working fine albeit a little slower.

I would like to have it working under OPOS though.

Thanks, M

M,

You can get things back up to speed by changing the fonts on the receipt to printer supported fonts, FontA or FontB. The size is designated as part of the name such as FontA12. You can probably get a list of supported fonts by going into the Windows printer properties and look for a Font tab. Printing will be much faster.
