Cash Drawer will not open

We are configuring RMS for the first time and are running into some trouble with the cash drawer. I've got an Epson Tm-T88IV (USB) printing runing on the Epson OPOS ADK, as well as POS-X Xc16z cashdrawer. The drawer pops in ADK, but for some reason nothing happens in RMS. I have the tender type set to pop the drawer, and the devices are configured as OPOS. Any ideas?

This will be basic - like the naming convention - but needed on boards when trying to troubleshoot and not knowing the end user...

We know the naming is the same in the OPOS and Mgr set up - and can assuming this is against the proper Register # (lane) as well. OPOS is also installed on each lane running a cash drawer - as this is not shared?

After setting tender types to trigger the drawer - has each lane been Zed out?

Because the receipt printer triggers the cash drawer - is there enough paper in it? Epson's don't seem to like printing when there is less than 1 inch thick of receipt paper.

Is the receipt printer on? Is the cash drawer set to unlocked? Just kidding! I am sure they are.

Everything seems to be set up fine. I hadn't printed the Z report, though. I tried that, and there's still no response. I'm completely out of guesses.

Make sure you Z on all lanes you have in store.

We had a similar issue with a store - where everything was set up exactly as it should be, receipt printer triggered, etc - but cash drawer just would not pop. We ended up swapping out the receipt printer just to make sure cabling was correct (even though it all tested 100% accurate on OPOS config testing) and still no response from drawer. After going through all trouble shooting attempts - we swapped the drawer with the vendor b/c it was just not working. The new one works and life is now good.
