You will need to use OPOS Drivers to do this. They can be downloaded from the "Epson Expert" Site - I think it is still
If you are using Windows drivers for printing, you can use a Serial or USB connected Cash Drawer and control it indepentetly using it's own OPOS drivers, but when using a printer controlled drawer with windows drivers the drawer is only going to pop when something prints. Also it is going to pop every time something prints - no conditional logic at all...
To get rid of the prompt, go > Anyone know how to make a cash drawer open without printing a receipt?

Hi Steve,
Yes. The cash drawer will p> If I install the epson TM-T88IV OPOS drivers will I be able to set the cash
You may find that the OPOS drivers work better than windows driver for printers. You don't need to actually print to use the cash drawer through the printer.

Hallo
Sorry, but it is unclear to me how to setup the printer AND the cash drawer through the MS OPOS Service Objects
Configure MS OPOS Service Objects. If I open the MS OPOS Service Object I see a listbox with 6 items: scale, Scanner, Cash Drawer, Line Display, Signature Capture, PinPAD (no printer)
If a select "Cash Drawer", I can only press the button "new" and another dialog is appearing with a listbox listing the drivers. I have 3 drivers listed: SMS.OPOS.CashDrawer.Kc, SMS.OPOS.CashDrawer.HydraKc, SMS.OPOS.CashDrawer2.HydraKc
I don-t know what to do at this point. Sorry if it is obvious, but I don-t understand. Could you give me a suggestion to move forward?
I didn-t configured anything in the POSSetup.exe utility installed by the Epson OPOS Setup (2.50 + SP10)
Thanks a lot
I am having the same problems. Have you figured out the solution yet? And do you have the OPOS driver for the printer? Please...PLEASE email me a copy. The tech support is very slow at solving my problem.
Also, my printer is printing one letter off. It won't allow me to adjust the width. Anyone can help on that one too?
Thanks!
