Cash drawer won't open

Hi, I am using the following: Epson usb printer TM-T88IV assigned to port 3 MMF cash drawer connected to epson printer. Windows XP pro. Configured printer OPOS drivers. Added printer device in epson OPOS ADK (ver2.62E). Added a new LDN named cashdrawer. Tested healthcheck and worked thru epson ADK. Entered the LDN name in the register list for that register. In POS, the printer works but the register will not open. I have also tried to configure thru microsoft OPOS configuration with the same name. Success while testing but it will not work in POS. Anything I am missing? Any help is appreciated.

make sure you enter the same name in rms, caps matter.

Jd I have same drawer and Epson printer and working fine for me. On the register list/ Cash Drawer 1 make sure you have checked mark on CASH DRAWER 1 IS ENABLED FOR THIS REGISTER. and copy and paste Opos device name from Epson Opos.

Hi JD, Question Are you using the correct epson drawer kick cable? This should be CD-005A. if you have attached any other cable to the drawer kick you have shorted out this portion of the printer. IF drawer kick is not shorted out forget opos and go to add printer and when you are asked for type of printer choose generic then choose generic text only. after "generic text only" printer has been installed right click on this printer icon and choose "properties" choose printer preferences then choose document settings. you will see a "cash drawer command entry position. Enter the following code"
