Finally I opened the cash drawer!

The devices I use are Epson TM-T88IIIP Printer and MS EP107 Cash drawer(it's a very old mode) and the cash drawer is wired to the printer directly. Firstly, I installed the windows driver for the printer and the cash drawer couldn't open. I called the support representative and they said the driver of cash drawer has to be OPOS and the cash drawer is driven by the printer, so the printer driver has to be OPOS. I didn't see any info about this in the manual. Maybe Microsoft should add it.

Then, I installed the Epson OPOS driver and added the the printer and the cash drawer in the device list. There are three options for the cash drawer: standard, multi_A and multi_B. Though the CheckHealth Interactive works for both Standard and Multi_A,only Multi_A works for the RMS.

However, though I checked "Wait For Drawer Close" in the Store Management and set the time out to 10 ms, the drawer doesn't close automatically. Anyway, it doesn't really matter.

"Wait for Drawer Close" means that the software will wait until the drawer is closed, not that the drawer is supposed to close itself. A Cash drawer is a pretty simple device - it just has a latch and a spring. When the printer sends it an "Open" signal, the latch releases and the spring pushes the drawer open. There's nothing there to pull the drawer closed again - which saves you a lot of smashed fingers probably...
