Merging Customers with RMS Headquarters

I have merged duplicate customers in a single store environment. However, does anybody have any information about merging customers in an environment using Store Operations Headquarters?

Here's what I do.

First, save all five of the Merge Customer query steps from the MS KB that I assume you already have. I call them MergeCustomer1, MergeCustomer2, etc.

In HQ Manager: Look at both accounts in HQ to determine which store(s) have activity. If it's one store, just merge the customers at that store, wait for a 401 to complete and check to make sure everything worked. Then issue the 601 for the empty account. If it's more than one store...

In SO Admin: Connect to one of the store databases that has activity Open all five of the Merge Customer queries and enter the account numbers. Execute all five queries Connect to the second store database Execute all five queries Repeat as necessary until the accounts have been merged at all locations that had activity.

Check the 'keeper' account at HQ after all effected stores have run 401s.

If all is good, issue the 601.

So far, this has worked well for me.
