Hi ... I have such a problem ... I need to have discound on my meat department , such us every item from that department will appear with 10% off price ... I can do it manually and set change price for each item separately , but I have kinda 1000 items ... I know I can make it by sql query , but the man who will have to do that have no idea about sql queryes ... So is there a way to set discount for all items in department ?
Yes.
Go to MANAGER, then select WIZARDS from the menu bar. Select INVENTORY WIZARD. Click NEXT SELECT TASK 110: change item prices Select that drop down box. See, you can change prices by Dept, Category, Supplier or from a query you make. Check the Department that will have the sale. PRICE CHANGE METHOD..see all the ways you can price. You want to DISCOUNT FRO REGULAR PRICE Make 10% PRICE TO BE CHANGED: SALE PRICE Put in the dates of your sale Skip the next page unless you undertsand this part. Select FINISH You will see a summary of all the prices that will be adjusted. if it is OK, commit the prices.
You are done!
