Is there any way of removing cashiers(No Longer Employed) from this drop down or to be able to sort it to make the No longer employees appear at the bottom?

The ability to make cashiers inactive was posted to MS as a suggestion by me years ago - and who knows how many others. We're still waiting ......

It will leave a big hole in your sales reporting. Not really a big deal, but you should never delete anything as you never know when you might need the info. Making them inactive is a far better solution. What I have done is just replace their name with 'no longer works here'. But sure like to just make them inactive like you can items.

At some point I do actually delete them (8 months - 1 year), but I like to have data in case there is any question about commission, hours, etc., not to mention the reporting aspect (since Craig already did). I add a 9 to the front of the employee number to 'inactive' them and filter my reports based on all employee numbers under 9XXXXX.

That's fine for a more advanced user. But for us non-technical folks that solution is over our heads. It would just be a lot smoother if MS would just listen to us and allow us to make them inactive, like you can with items.

Marinert1965,
Don't make any hasty decisions. POS2009 is going to be released soon, and they may have addressed this in that version.

marinert1965,
The new version of RMS is called POS2009. So if you plan on upgrading from RMS 2.0, you will be upgrading to POS2009.
Craig
That's really optimistic of them, putting 2009 in the name. Bets on if POS2009 will make release before 2010? ;)
