.Net 3.0 to Replace 1.1 and 2.0

Apr 10, 2007 1 Replies

I haven't done much research on this one yet but I also haven't seen anything here about it so I thought I'd throw it out before I start poking around.

Anyone try building a system running .Net 3.0? I don't even know if you can use 3.0 to replace 1.1 but I have heard from one of our vendors that it should work en lieu of 2.0.

I'm going to set up a new system today and installing 3.0 prior to installing RMS or our other add-ins. I'll report back here on what I find.

3.0 automatically installs 2.0 along with it. They both appear in add/remove programs. 1.1 is still necessary for programs that call for 1.1 specifically. I've tested this with other apps in the past. No idea how this affects RMS though.
