Net Display

We want to show the a transaction window to the customer. I have a single video card that supports dual monitors and the extended desktop works fine. I have enabled the Net display in Manager but when I go into the POS and the screen settings (ctrl f6) the net display options and not enabled. Is RMS looking specifically for 2 seperate video cards or am I just missing something?

George,

You must set the option "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor" in your video driver, before you can work with this option.

Yes, I have already done this. I do have the dual monitors working with no issues other than its interaction with RMS and doing the Net display. I have set this up beofore on a system that has 2 physical video cards and it works fine.

It just seems that if there is > George,

Make sure to check the screen position on the Net Display.

Once you enable net display, look at the bottom of the screen. In the Window section, the Position, should not be 0, 0 if you POS screen Position is 0, 0. If this is the case then the Net Display is located directly behind the POS screen. This should be set to Position

1024, 0 (Where 1024 is the width of your screen) and 0. This does require that you extend your desktop as Raymond suggested.

Hello George,

Are you sure that you set the option on the right register in the Manager? Try to disable the option, restart Manager and POS, and try to set it again.

The Net display option has "nothing" to do with the screens in Windows. I can set the option even if I don't have an extra screenoutput on my videocard. So that's not the problem i think.

Hope this is helpfull for you, if not let me know.

Greetings,

Raymond
