I recently upgraded my enterpirse to RMS 2.0. Some of my shops have a single register hosting the database and running Store Ops (and HQ client). At these shops, i'm experiencing VERY slow performance. Doing a 'set customer' takes maybe 30 seconds (about 50,000 customers in the database).
These machines are 1ghz, 512MB. My best guess is that its the SQL 2005 Express sucking a lot of RAM where we didn't have as much trouble with 1.3 and MSDE where performance was fine.
Anyone else running into this problem?
At one site I have a dedicated SQL server I can move the RMS database to, but I'm not sure what I'm going to do elsewhere besides throw more memory and processor at it.
