You need to set a lower bound in the pricing tab of the item properties; I originally thought the lower bound price was the lowest price an item could be sold for but here's the help guide explanation - hope this helps

Bachar, Convoluted is correct, PriceLowerBounds is an option, but it does not guarantee that the item still cannot be sold for cheaper than that. All the cashier sees is a prompt.
