Problem with Scrollbars in Reports

Anyone else having a problem with the scrollbars in SO-Manager's reports? I can't click and drag them like you would in other MS applications. the only way I can scroll a report quickly is with PGUP/PGDOWN, which isn't really that quick.

Is this a common problem or just my installation? I couldn't find this issue mentioned in the knowledgebase nor in the hotfixes/service packs.

yes, I have reported this about a year ago and they were able to replicate it, but it must have not been a priority for them to fix. That's too bad as it is quite frustrating.

Yes, the scrollbars are screwy, especially with very long reports. I don't know of any way to fix it, other than using the PgUp/PgDown as you noted...

Considering how basic a "Windows" function it is, I keep thinking they will fix it with each release.

I have the same problem and also have never written about it. Glad to know it's just not a glitch with me. I've developed wide shoulders through the years because I've heard over and over again, "Gee, you're the only one having that problem."

Anyway, how about the "cascading item screen." This goes back to Sales Management Systems, so is for sure a deep rooted problem. Every time we open the item screen (properties) in Manager it opens a little lower on the screen until you finally have to grab the title bar and drag it back up within viewing range.

Has anyone seen a fix for this? Hopefully I'm not the only one...

For real it sucks. Bad. What were they thinking? And why has it not been fixed? I would love to hear that one. It must be a deep problem rooted in the reporting engine. mt

Ken,

You're probably using 800x600 resolution. You need to increase it.

Good luck, Matt

Nope, 1280 x 1024. And as I said this goes back to SMS so it's been an ongoing problem for us at every resolution we've used over the years.

Ken,

I hope you take some comfort in knowing, you're "not" the only one....hopefully, there will be a fix where the window stays still!
