If I want to add new information to the P.O. print out, which file should I have to accesss ? It looks like the report is reading from a temporal file, but I do not know the fields for that file.

Open SO Administrator and go to File/Configuration. Look at the Templates Tab. That will show you which XML file is serving as the tmeplate for each document type...
Glenn,
I've been following this thread because I'd like to add Department & Category to our purchase orders...would following these instructions help me?

Gene,
What are you willing to give up? There isn't any room left to print anything more.
Do you need this for the vendor or for internal use? If internal use, I've attached a Receiving Worksheet with Retail Pricing report that you can add the Department & Category columns to. Right click on the body of the report and check Department and/or Category, then move around the columns as you wish.
Copy it into the \Program Files\Microsoft Retail...\Store Ops\Reports folder.
Look for it in the Custom section on your Reports menu choice.
You must be using Outlook Express or some other type of newsgroup reader to see and download the file attachment. If you are not using a reader, follow the link below to setup Outlook Express. Click on "Open with newsreader" under the M$ Retail Management System on the right.
Glenn,
The template is reading a file PurchaseOrderEntry
where can I see the fields for this file ??? I need to change > Open SO Administrator and go to File/Configuration. Look at the Templates
MSRP is not available in receipt templates as far as I know. You could build or modify a report that contains it, but I don't think you will be able to get it onto the PO Template.
