Random hroup of items on sale for a specified period

As an offshoot to the other topic about wizard-based time-specific price changes.......... I use tried to use the wizard for a specific group of items and found that I could only use it for entire departments. I wound up using the Pricing tab in the Item Properies window to set the "Thius Item On Sale" flags for the start and stop dates for each item

This worked perfectly (items came off-sale as scheduled) But....... it was very time consuming Is there an easier way to do it when the items are 'random'.?

Not really.

You can select items by department/category/supplier etc. or you can try to use a filter. If the items are genuinely random, you can use the wizard with the 'manually select items' method.

Just remember that these items will forever be 'On Sale' unless you go back into the itme properties for every item and un-check the 'Item is on sale' box. At least they won't ring up at the sale price after the sale ends date.

If you pick a department with the fewest items in it as the department you want to change prices in, you can delete all the items off of the worksheet, set the sale dates, and then manually add items to the worksheet. Not how it should work, but it beats manually setting the flag for each item until MS fixes this :-) Craig
