Hi,
*Brief Description* RMS seems to keep an OPOS printer open after the first receipt has been printed. The printer will be closed when the POS is closed.
This means that no other application can access the printer.
The option of RMS closing the printer after each receipt has been printed would be useful.
*Further Information* You can verify this by running a check health on the printer while RMS is running, after a receipt has been printed. The check health will fail, but RMS does not actually need the printer at this point.
If you close the POS, and rerun the check health, it will pass.
This behaviour interferes with some EFTPOS terminals and a couple of other applications, which work fine alongside RMS when using Windows drivers.
If a cash drawer is installed, RMS will seize the printer the moment the POS is started.
Cheers
