Hi folks
The Gift Certificate was setup as Serialized Item, Must enter Price at POS, and we sold three of them... I went to see the value left on the Gift Certificate on POS screen using Ctrl-shift-F3 - but the serial number was not found...I think that I should have created the Gift Certificate as a voucher.
What do I do to fix this problem? Any help would be appreciated?

Do a detailed sales report based on the item lookup code of the item. Create a new Voucher item type (don't worry about the lookup code, you can change it later). Since your item is serialized instead of voucher, nothing has been redeemed yet (the serial items are not tenderable) Do returns for all of the serialized gift certs you have sold to date (return as cash tender) Resell all of the certs as the new voucher item using cash tender
Make sure your gift cert Tender Type is also of type Voucher!

This only applies to MS RMS - MS POS has no voucher feature as far as I know (but I may be wrong as I generally ignore POS).
"Voucher" is an item type and a tender type. It has nothing to do with the Item Lookup code or the Description. The Item Type would never be displayed anywhere to the customer - it just tells RMS that the sale of the item requires special handling.
