Well I'll tell you a little secret, nobody seems to know about it.

Have your MS sales rep watch the RMS 1.3 announcement webinar on Nov 17th and look at the slide named Special Promotion. The webinar is only available to partners and MS employees I think.

On the slide it tells us to contact our distributor for more info, but when I called ours a week ago, they didn't know anything either.

The deal was/is 3 years Maintenance Plan for the price of 2, no penalties for lapsed contracts. Runs from Nov 15th to Dec 15th. 2005.

I'll call again and see what I can find out.

Well, at least I'm not the only one who saw or heard about this promotion. Thankyou for responding. Even my MBS partner didn't know anything about it. If you cannot find any more information by phone, perhaps you could provide a link to that webinar you mentioned?

and sure enough, it is a valid offer, even though nobody at microsoft customer support seemed to know anything about it. At any rate, anyone looking for this information will find it in the link above.
