Stock Taking in RMS...ARgggg

This isnt a question more a frustration.

When you count an item you put in the time of the items that is counted. So your Variance (DELTA) report shows you the discrepancy at the tiem that you counted. But then you go and recount to find that it is less now because some are sold. but the expected qty has not changed. So then you have another variance issue when you recount. Then you quietly go out side and scream.....

Parent Child relations.

ok so you have a carton that has been broekn down to sell in the store as the child but no items are sold. so yourparent is now less 1 but you are up in the child but the respecitve amount.

This still should show you no varanice as the arent is the governing product yes? In a high volume store this is almost impossible to look after and the report is impossible sift through. Although I am sure there are add on that assist this. But I would indeed say this is not an add on requirement but a core business issue on the RMS product.

Take beer and its childs, or cigarettes, or anything that uses the parent child in RMS - test this and see if you have the same issue...

I would indeed say that this process is time consuming and needs to be looked at by Microsoft.
