I'm a QuickBooks novice so please help accordingly. I can't find in the help file or internet how to do this.
Instead of selecting manually every month to "assess finance charges" I'd like to have QuickBooks do this automatically. How do I set this up?
Thanks in advance,
-Brendan

It cannot be done automatically.

Final answer? I thought I saw somewhere something about setting up an income account to get it automated? Am I wrong? Wrong version etc? Just double checking. Thanks!

I assume you're questioning my previous post? It would be helpful to quote part of the message that you reply to.
You must post the finance charges to an account, of course. It should probably be an Income account, and not your primary Sales account. You must set up the account if it doesn't already exist. But setting up the account does not automate the finance charges.
To the best of my knowledge finance charges cannot be automated. That's my final answer. Unless someone else has a better answer, in which case I might say, "Gosh, thanks, I didn't know that."
