Automatically create subaccounts from a group of accounts

Hello --

We imported a chart of accounts which did not use the concept of sub accounts (ACCPAC 6.1).

Is there a way to automatically create subaccounts from a group of accounts, or must each account be changed individually?

I have qodbc, so I could use that if necessary.

Are you sure you want to use sub-accounts rather than classes? Accpac Plus uses an account structure made up of an Account Segment plus an optional Department Segment. QuickBooks accomplishes departmental reporting by having the user enter a different class with each transaction.

As an accountant, I prefer having a departmental account structure but the typical QB user finds the concept of Classes simpler to implement.

There is no way to automatically create sub-accounts.

I will defer to the clients accounting firm regarding whether to use classes.
