Basic101 question

QBS Pro 2002, I have inc=voices with a balance . I assumed that the balance would carry forward to the new invoices? It doesn't, They are HOA quarterly pymts. I am just helping out. Is their a setting to make the balances pull forward to the newq invoices when I create them? Thanks Frank

You are confusing invoices with statements.

You do not have an invoice with a balance. You have an account with a balance. The amount on an invoice is unchanging.

An invoice is for a particular event (product, service, or mistake). The contents do not change over time.

The balance of an account does fluctuate based on additional invoices or payments (or credits or mistakes or finance charges, etc.), but the amount of an invoice is (usually) fixed at the time of its creation and remains immutable.

Upgrading to the latest version of QuickBooks will allow you to show customer balance on your invoices. Nice feature.

I searched for an answer to my next question, but couldn't find it. Question: Can I install QBks Pro 2007 on my desktop and laptop? Thanks Frank

Yes.

Use one as your "Main" books and the other as your backup. I do this by backing up to a flash device at the office and loading at home for use there, but I NEVER make original entries at home.

Peter

Yes the license allows you to do that.

This is where the expression "I read it on the internet therefore it must be true", comes from.

Why not say 40 computers, why stop at only 4? If your are going to bullshit, might as well make a bigger pile.

Answer is yes, PRO 2007 EULA lets you install to up to 4 computers.

The other answer is just trying to help you not screw up your books. The multiple installations do not share a data file, you have to manually transfer the data from system to system.

I would not have upgraded if this were not permitted.

Since I support myself and my family selling software I take a dim view of pirating software.
