Customer Name Change

I have QB2010 Pro running on a W7 computer.My primary customer is under going a business name change and I have many jobs in progress and open invoices,po's etc.My question is will I have to create a new customer and re-enter all open jobs or can I just edit the customer info and put in the new name,and will QB then have all the new jobs under the new name and all the previous work under the old name.This customer goes back many years and is likely to continue for many years.

The software will allow you to just edit the customer name & address in the Customer Center. It will change everything for you.

It might be worth checking with your customer that all of the history now belongs to the new name. I've seen cases where a company changes names/owner and the history did not flow to the new name. In this case, I had to create a new customer name and start fresh.
