Error message regarding Internet Explorer

I have Googled this error and tried all suggestions, but nothing seems to work. Most responses to my search were from 2004, so I'm hoping there may be fresh info for this problem. I have re-loaded Quickbooks 2002, re-installed Internet Explorer 6.0, modified the registry to re-load it a second time, modified the qbw.ini file as suggested by a poster....nothing works. My error message is "QuickBooks requires Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher." Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
