HSBC Error message removal

Now that HSBC has completely disabled functionality of direct download, there remains a pesky error message on the update results page. Any idea on how to remove that error message?

Pierre:

What worked for me:

1) Deactivate *ALL* HSBC accounts. 2) Exit Quicken. 3) Start Quicken. 4) Run One Step Update. 5) The error message should be gone. 6) Setup Web Connect for your HSBC accounts.

I haven't had any HSBC transactions since spring, my balances are 0, so I can't tell if Express Web Connect will work.

The new login is a ROYAL PITA, BUT one bright note is that it looks like current transactions can be downloaded, and not just closed statements.

BUT, once again, I have no transactions, and don't anticipate having any to test that out ;-)

I presume you are referencing the Online Update Summary. If so click on the Transmission Summaries at the bottom of the Online summary screen, then click on the grey box beside the HSBC error, you will be asked if you want to delete this message.

Marty, using Q7W, there are no Transmission Summaries to click on, there is One Step Update Summary, it contains the error, however clicking or right clicking on the grey line(s) doesn't do anything. Thanks for the idea though.
