Is there an industry specific version of QuickBooks for a company that keeps no inventory on hand but still sells goods, though primarily through other sources, such as dropshipping direct from manufacturers?

The non-industry-specific version. And by the way, it is good etiquette to quote part of the message you are responding to.
With QB Pro 2006 the inventory part was turned off by default in the preferences. Install and leave the default settings?
