In a multi-user environment, why would a cheque be showing if one computer is used but can't be found in another computer?

Because save/record hasn't been pressed? Because each computer has different company files open?
The other user is right. Be sure both users are on the same company file and the record is saved. If you still have issues, do a verify / rebuild.
