Number of Transactions

Nov 24, 2005 6 Replies

Hi,

Is there anyway in QuickBooks to identify the number or transactions that were done in any given time period? For example if I wanted to find out how many transactions (entering sales, collecting payments, making deposits, entering in vendor bills etc) for 1 month. Can I find out this information?

Thanks,

You can determine how many transactions Quickbooks considers a transation as follows:

At the begining of the month open up the file and press the Ctrl key and 1 key, record the number of transations in the file displayed on the screen. Do the same at the end of the month.

Might try a custom transaction report on all transactions for a month. Send to Excel. Read the number of lines.

Select a transaction you entered a month ago and note it's transaction number (reports>other reports>transaction journal) and look at a very recent transaction and see what the difference is.

Wow, he said the same thing twice.

So oh fontain of useless knowlege, how to find out how many transactions in a given past month, but not next month!

Some things are worth repeating.
