Opening balance is different than the ending account balance from the previous month

When I reconciled my opening balance is different than the ending account balance from the previous month. What happened and how do I correct this?

Check to see if you have made an entry to a prior month (could be any one) that changed the balances.

If you can't find anything, go under Utilities and do a Verify and Rebuild data. That resolves most of the software bugs.
