probably a simple question for someone

hi

my dad has a memorised transaction for the fuel scale charge set up, and he accesses this from the 'front page' of quickbooks (2003). He now needs to change the value, which i assumed would be a case of using the 'edit memorised transaction', but that doesnt let you change the actual values.

Anyone know how you do this? sorry if i'm not being clear, i dont use quickbooks myself but help out dad out with it from time to time.

thanks, lee

Don't know what you mean by "the front page", but what he must do is OPEN the transaction to change it, then re-memorize it.

change

Double click on the memorized transaction, change the value in the face of the check, right click and select 'Memorize Check'. QuickBooks will ask you to replace it with the old one, select 'Replace'. Now if you want to save this check then save it and if you want to record the transaction later then exit without saving.
