QB 2010 Changing dates

It appears that when I installed 2010 to replace 2007 the update changed my sales tax reporting periods from the real ones to new arbitrary dates. In doing so it noted what appeared to be discrepancies in the balances and made General Journal adjustments to "correct" them all the way back to 2002.

Reports are picking up balances and adding them into totals creating wrong amounts.

Is there a way to fix the erroneous dates to correct this year's totals and to correct the past years records?

What service pack/release number do you have installed? check for updates to make sure you have the latest release (R7).

There were some issues with sales tax reporting but I have never heard that it resulted in journal entries. These were fixed in R7.

Do you have the original file that you upgraded from 2007? You might need to do a rebuild/verification to make sure the old file was in good shape prior to the upgrade.
