QuickBooks

I worked as a bookkeeper about 20 years ago in Europe and when I moved to the U.S.A. I started a new carrier. I really need to get a part time job. I decided to go back to my first occupation and learn accounting again.

I am hoping that you can recommend a good way to start QuickBooks and advice on good books I can learn from.

Thank you for your help.

You can join the ProAdvisor Program (accountant.intuit.com) and you'll get QB Premier Accountant Edition 2008, a dedicated tech support phone number for ProAdvisors, training materials (self study training guide and webinars for free) and many more benefits. You can get more info at accountant.intuit.com. The best way to learn the program is to start using it and practicing on sample company files. You can also get great materials from The Sleeter Group. I hope that helps some!

There are often seminars or classes offered by local community colleges or Small Business Development Centers (SBDC) as well. I teach an Intro to QB seminar each month for a local SBDC.

Best of all the only requirement to join the program is that you either walk, crawl or slither on your belly.
