Today we purchased QuickBooks Pro 2005 and are upgrading from QuickBooks Basic 2003. Is there anything I need to keep in mind, or any tips/hints that might be helpful?

It should go smoothly. I prefer to copy my company file, renaming the copy to something like 2003Full_XYZ Company and keeping it intact in the 2003 version. Then you can upgrade the existing company file to 2005.
