Perhaps not that amazing. Intuit explained that even though the web address is registered to a supposed Phoenix person, these things are typically associated with offshore business ventures making them difficult to find and shut down. The company never shipped the backup CD for which I was charged so there is no way for me to know the company's actual address. Perhaps they are related to some deposed dictator from Nigeria.
