printing problem with QBPro 2006

I just upgraded to 2006. In previous versions, when printing a two copies of a multi-page invoice form, each page would print two copies before printing the next page. I printed one copy for the customer on preprinted letterhead and one copy on blank paper for the company. I could stack paper in the printer that would alternate from letterhead to blank paper. Each page of the multi-page invoice would print one on letterhead and one on blank paper. After upgrading, now the printer prints each complete invoice form before printing the second. If I have a two page invoice, the first copy will print first page on letterhead, second page on blank. The second copy will be the same at the letterhead paper is the next page queue in the printer. This gives me two first pages on letterhead and two second pages on blank paper. Does anyone know how to set the printer to print each page both copies first before advancing to the next. This is how it would print in previous versions.

Not a QB error, but a printer option. QB 'remembers' the options you select for different forms. I suspect that your previous options were not kept when you installed a new version of QB.

You didn't mention your printer, but on mine the option is 'collate'. Collate means that when you print multiple copies, each copy will be printed in its entirety, so that you don't have to separate them out. It is pretty common for collate to be a default option on a printer. However, if you want to interleaf letterhead with blank stock when printing invoices in QB, then you want 'collate' to be unchecked.

You can globally set the options for each type of QB 'form' by going to the printer setup screen from the file menu.

QB 2006 collates multiple copies by default internally, not via the printer driver as in past versions. There does not appear to be any switch that can modify this behavior.
