Recurring customer payments

Thank you to everyone who's been responding, especially "L" who's given me some slack for my ignorance of QB terminology and to the person who inserted a little humor here. I am an Excel expert and if anyone needs help with that, find me on the MS newsgroups answering questions (and showing a lot of patience for newbies and folks who don't know the difference between a formula and a macro).

I also agree that it would be difficult to change my system for the unpaid work I do for the non profit. Instead I will suck it up and march on and remember that I'm doing a good deed each time I input those 120 Customer Payments each month.

I started this conversation because I thought, perhaps, that the new version of Quickbooks would be different. In the end, I'm sure it's not. I buy support from QB and as I said in my first message, they haven't been able to figure out how to make sure that all three areas are affected correctly if I were to attempt to automate my process.

Are you saying there is a difference?

Who said it would be difficult? Switching over to a new method at the beginning of the year would not be a lot of work.

Instead I will suck it up and

You prove a point I have been making for years. The fact that you are paying Intuit a fee, their suggestions and advice are looked at a lot more seriously than those given by the idiots who give out free advice on this newsgroup.

Out of interest Karen, is the support centre seemingly located in India? It seems these days every company in the world is running support and telesales from India, just wondered if it is the same for QB.
