Using Quickbooks for a Non-profit

Is anyone familiar with a reference source for using QuickBooks Pro for a non-profit organization. I'm particularly interested in recommendations for the use of "classes". As far as I can tell , my QB Pro should be sufficient - that is, the QB Non-Profit version doesn't really have any irreplaceable features. Is this correct?

Even though it was written for 2004 the concepts and steps can be used for any version/year.

At least in Canada, the "non-profit version" of QB Pro adds only some customized terminology specific to non-profits, and some specialized custom reports all of which can be created with your "vanilla" QB Pro.

Compasspoint Nonprofit services ( ) sell a book (QuickBooks for Not-for-Profit Organizations By: Christine L. Manor, CPA) which is excellent, even for Canadian non-profit use despite being geared for the US.
