Sales Receipt Summary w/ multiple sales tax rates

In SC, a person 85 or older gets a 1% tax break. I've been entering the day's taxable sales and non taxable sales as items so far. Now, I'm trying to get another taxable item (Total Sales - Taxable, Old) at a different rate than my previous sales (Total Sales - Taxable) on the same recipt.

Can this be done on one receipt or do I need two? When I try to enter a sales tax liablility on the receipt, I get a warning that reports might mess up. I'm assuming that's not the correct way.

I don't use sales receipts all that much, but I assume for this they aren't much different than invoices. If your receipt has both rates on it you'll need a subtotal item. Put all the charges at one rate at the top, add the subtotal item and then the tax item for them. Now all the items at the other tax rate, add a subtotal and finish with the other tax item. Tax item at the bottom of the form is blank or use a zero percent item for multi rate transactions.
