Hello all, I got an unsolicited fax from Super Selective Computer Training for a QuickBooks seminar. Can anyone give me some advice if this company's seminars are the real thing.
Thank you.

I hate unsolicited faxes. They must be some scum outfit. Do not trust them.
While I don't approve of unsolicited Faxes, this company appears to be legitimate:
Charge the tuition to a credit card so you can dispute it if they don't deliver.
I would imagine any company specializing in educating people in this specific area (QB) would have a day of material worth the tuition.
In most places spam fax = criminal
just know that going in
Quite useful. You can trade the unsolicited fax for $500 at your local small-claims court. The penalty could be as much as $1500 for egregious violations.
See here (and other "junk fax" qualifiers):
If I could collect it, $500 for every junk fax I receive would put my struggling little repair shop in the black.
I have a file folder labeled "Junk Fax", which is fairly full. I will take $50 each for as many of the faxes contained as you want to buy, if it's cash.
That's 90% off!
I have Life Insurance, T-Shirt's, Healthcare Plans, Refinance offers...
I've gotten judgements on seven (and collected on four). It's dirt simple. You take a copy of the federal law* (and a small fee) to your local small claims court and talk to the clerk. In the fullness of time, you get a judgement.
Sorry, I don't buy them, but this outfit does:
"You may be able to obtain cash for some of your junk faxes that you submit to us."
(B) an action to recover for actual monetary loss from such a violation, or to receive $500 in damages for each such violation, whichever is greater, or
(C) both such actions.
(the court may, in its discretion, increase the amount of the award to an amount equal to not more than 3 times)
Thanks folks. I passed
Smart move.
If you are interested in a good seminar, stick with one from Intuit or Sleeter. Intuit offers some freebies too.
Thank you
