Tables Revisted

I noticed the discrepancy ..Quickbooks is rouding the the nearest dollar while my spreadsheet gives the exact amount. This rounding thing doesn't seem right ...Is it?

It actually rounds down and quickbooks takes the extra cent or fraction of a cent and keeps it, you just work out how much this is around the world, and no one is aware of it.

Sam,

You aren't kidding.

We had a guy with an almost unintelligble Indian accent help me when I was on an annual support contract. The connection was lousy, with the digitized speech and a 1 second delay when talking. His advice was horrible, and he clearly didn't understand the problem.

I asked him where he was, expecting to hear he was somewhere in India.

He claimed to be in Tuksin.

Not knowing what country Tuksin was in, I asked him what country?

Tuksin, Arizona, Sir!

I was then 'randomly' selected to be surveyed about my impressions of the service call that day.

My advice was, if you are going to have your Indian call center lie about where they are, be sure they know how to pronounce Tucson.

And it wouldn't hurt to have them know more than squat about the program too.

I haven't had a support contract since then.

The rounding is obviously not an accident. It certainly does not matter, because employees get credit for actual amounts withheld, not what should be withheld.

Whoa. That is horrible. And the names! Does anyone else remember the TV show about the aliens, who, when they entered earth were given names that were really jokes?

That might explain the Dell rep who claimed to be Tom Cruise.

Are you talking about the ones where ocean water is like acid to them? Don't know if any slags are around but their good buddy is running a casino in Las Vegas.
