In order to transfer the Zelle payment of $300 from one class to another in QuickBooks, it's important to first understand how you have set up your classes. It sounds like you have multiple properties, each with their own account, and that the payment of $300 was received in a class of 200. In order to transfer this payment to class 300, you will need to create a transfer transaction in QuickBooks. Here are the steps you should follow:
- Go to the "Lists" menu and select "Chart of Accounts."
- Locate the account that the payment was received in (class 200) and click on it to open the register.
- Click on the "New Transaction" button and select "Transfer."
- In the "Transfer From" field, select the account that the payment was received in (class 200).
- In the "Transfer To" field, select the account that you want to transfer the money to (class 300).
- Enter the amount of the transfer (0) and any additional information such as the date, memo, or reference number.
- Click on "Save & Close" to complete the transfer.
